On March 28, 2024, the plenary meeting of the Jiangsu Province New Energy Vehicle Special Metrology Technical Committee and the Metrology Technical Specification Review Meeting were successfully held in Wuxi. The meeting brought together many experts and scholars in the industry to discuss the latest progress in new energy vehicle metrology technology and related difficulties and challenges.

As a member of the committee’s correspondent unit, Shenzhen Hangzhi Precision Electronics Co., Ltd. attended the meeting with its products – automotive BMS current sensors, high-precision current sensors and high-precision DC testers. CEO Dr. Tian Xinliang delivered an academic report entitled “Application of Current Sensors in New Energy Vehicles and Key Measurement Indicators“, sharing the cutting-edge technology and applications of current sensors.

In the report, Dr. Tian explained in detail the core role of current sensors using Hall technology, TMR technology, shunt technology, and technologie fluxgate in the field of new energy vehicles, including battery management systems (BMS), motor control units (MCU), and on-board charging systems (OBC), as well as the working principles of different types of current sensors. Dr. Tian explained these professional and profound technical principles and applications in easy-to-understand language, which enabled the participants to have a clearer and deeper understanding of the principles of current sensors and their applications in new energy vehicles.

When discussing the key measurement indicators of current sensors, Dr. Tian elaborated in depth from two aspects: basic requirement indicators and actual application requirement indicators. He emphasized that basic requirement indicators such as accuracy and stability are crucial to improving the performance of new energy vehicles and ensuring driving safety. At the same time, he also combined specific cases to deeply analyze the impact of dynamic indicators such as temperature changes in actual customer applications, providing valuable practical experience for participants.

In addition, Dr. Tian solemnly announced the need for product project cooperation at the meeting. He sincerely invited experts and scholars in the industry to work with Hangzhi Company to conduct in-depth research on the “high-difficulty” technical problems and application prospects of current sensors.
